Pastor Terry has served as pastor of Southern Hills Baptist Church since July 2020. Having been in the ministry for more than 40 years, he previously served at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Fairfax Station, VA for 20 years, Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton, VA, for 10 years, as well as churches in Broken Arrow, OK (5 years) and Baton Rouge, LA (5 years). Prior to his call to ministry, he taught school and coached football in Colorado and Kansas.

Pastor Terry and his wife Sandi have been married since 1979 and have two grown sons. Scott and his wife Mary Jo (Hubbard) have two children (Grayson and Mollie Kate), and he serves as Senior pastor of Wellspring Church in Webb City, MO. Jeremy and his wife Christina (Miller) have three children (Adelyn, Everett, and Silas). They serve as missionaries in Southeast Asia.

Pastor Terry received a Bachelor and Masters degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He also holds a Doctorate of Theology degree from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary.

Terry has had the opportunity to lead several conferences, partnership mission teams, and evangelistic crusades in Australia, Germany, the Republic of Georgia, Israel, Russia, Kenya, Cuba, Ukraine, and a few other countries.
